Mada Jiu-Jitsu’s lineage starts from the very top with one of the founders of Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Carlos Gracie. Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was developed in Brazil in the early 1900s where Carlos learned from the great Japanese Judo champion, Mitsuyo Maeda. Carlos Gracie claimed to have fought anyone who was willing, regardless of size, weight, or fighting style.
